What information does EpoxyFloorIndex collect?

Almost none. EpoxyFloorIndex is a directory you read. There is one optional quote form, no sign-up and no account, so there is nothing here for you to fill in and nothing for us to store. There is also no published email address, phone line or form, so at present there is no way for you to send us anything and nothing arrives. Our host, Vercel Inc., keeps standard server logs, including your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time you asked for it, to keep the site online and secure. Those logs are the only personal information we collect from you, and Vercel is the only company any of it reaches. They are not the only personal information published on this site, though: the listings themselves carry information about business owners and about people who left Google reviews, which is covered further down.

How does EpoxyFloorIndex use it?

We use anything you send us only to respond to you. We do not sell personal information, we share nothing with the businesses listed on this site except what you send through the quote form, and we do not use it for advertising. Server logs are used only for security, troubleshooting and preventing abuse.

Does EpoxyFloorIndex contact the businesses on your behalf?

No, and this is worth stating plainly. EpoxyFloorIndex does not pass your details to anyone. When you find a business here you contact it yourself, using the website on its profile, or its phone number once the business has claimed its listing. Anything you then tell that business is between you and them, under their own privacy practices. We are not part of that conversation and never see it.

Does EpoxyFloorIndex use cookies or analytics?

We do not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site trackers, and the site sets no cookies of its own. Our host may set what is strictly necessary to serve the pages. Because nothing here tracks you across the web, there is no advertising profile of you to opt out of. No third-party script, font or image loads on these pages either: the typefaces and the contractor photographs are served from this site's own domain, so reading a page here does not make your browser contact anyone else. If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy first and describe your choices.

How does EpoxyFloorIndex handle business listing data?

Our directory lists businesses using public information, such as company names, addresses, phone numbers, ratings and reviews sourced from Google Maps and business websites. Most of that is information about a business rather than about a private individual, but not all of it. A profile page also shows the first name a Google reviewer published under, their star rating and the words of their review, and where a business trades under a person's own name its details are that person's information too. We publish that material because it was already public on Google, we add nothing to it, and no business pays to appear or to rank. If you own a listed business, or you wrote a review we have republished, and you want it corrected or removed, there is currently no channel open to receive that request. EpoxyFloorIndex has no working email address, phone line or form, and the domain has no mail record behind it, so removal and correction requests cannot be received at all right now. That is a real gap and we would rather name it than paper over it. Our contact page says the same thing, and a working route will be published there first.

What are your privacy rights under PIPEDA?

Under PIPEDA you can ask what personal information EpoxyFloorIndex holds about you, request a copy, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent to our use of it. In practice we hold nothing about you at all: the only record of your visit is the server log kept by our host, and we neither store nor read a copy of it. There is no process for exercising those rights yet, because EpoxyFloorIndex has no working channel through which a request could reach anyone. One will be published on our contact page as soon as it exists.

How does EpoxyFloorIndex comply with CASL?

Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) governs commercial email. EpoxyFloorIndex sends no marketing email, no newsletters and no promotional blasts, and holds no address to send any from. If we ever introduce optional marketing email, it will be strictly opt-in with a clear unsubscribe link in every message, as CASL requires.

How does EpoxyFloorIndex store and retain data?

EpoxyFloorIndex runs no database of visitors and keeps no records of its own about you, so there is nothing here for us to retain. The server logs described above are held by our host, Vercel Inc., under its own retention schedule, which we do not set, do not control and do not receive a copy of. The business listings and review extracts we publish are kept until the next refresh of the dataset replaces them, or until a correction or removal request is honoured, whichever comes first. Any correspondence, once there is a channel to receive it, will be kept only as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect what we hold, though no method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure. Vercel Inc. is a company based in the United States, so information it holds, including those server logs, may be stored or processed outside Canada and be subject to the laws of another country.

What happens to what I send through the quote form?

If you fill in the quote form, we pass your name, contact details and your description of the job to one company listed in your area, so they can quote the work. One company, never a list, and never a pool of firms bidding against each other for you. The form will not send until you tick the box that says so, and that tick is recorded with the date and the exact sentence you agreed to. If you change your mind afterwards, write to us and we will delete what you sent.

Nothing else about you goes anywhere. Reading this site sends nobody anything.EpoxyFloorIndex sells no leads and no company can buy a better position: the order on every list comes from a published formula. When you call a company from a profile here, that call goes straight to the company, and we are not told it happened.
